MRCP


The MRCP(UK) awarded by a federation comprising of three Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London), is a postgraduate level qualification in General Medicine, given on successful completion of the training and examination conducted by them. These membership examinations are recognised around the world as quality benchmarks of medical knowledge and clinical skills. Consider them as your gateway to a better life and brighter future.


The MRCP(UK) is the knowledge-based assessment for core medical training in the UK. It has three parts:

    Examination Skills) (PACES)

Trainees who pass all three parts fulfil the requirements for the MRCP (UK) Diploma and can then use the letters MRCP(UK) as a postnominal.

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility for MRCP is to complete MBBS and 12 months of internship.

PATTERN

Part 1: It is an entry level examination for those who have just finished their MBBS. This exam takes place thrice in a year.

Part 2: It is a written examination to be taken by those who have already cleared Part 1 exam; and again takes place thrice in a year.

Part 2 Clinical (PACES): This is the final part of the assessment where candidates are assessed on their ability to carry out essential clinical skills, and takes place in a clinical setting.
